Inpatient treatment for adults who need structure and support to overcome depression, anxiety, mood swings, family conflicts or reactions to stress and trauma. We help individuals improve dysfunctional thinking, behaviors and emotional responses through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
A highly specialized unit for patients with severe high acuity psychiatric symptoms of psychosis, aggression and behavioral decompensation. The unit offers a low stimulation environment and treatment programming designed for actively psychotic and agitated patients including those that are actively homicidal or suicidal. Once patients are stabilized they are transitioned into other treatment milieus.
Strong Hope is a specialized mental health & substance use program that serves members of the military, veterans and their families. We provide evidence-based treatment for post-traumatic stress, focusing on military sexual or combat trauma and childhood trauma. Features include: Separate and dedicated units for men & women, VA & DOD-approved and recommended Cognitive Processing Therapy.
The Courage to Change Addiction Medicine Program is a medical detoxification and short-term rehabilitation program serving adults struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. We help individuals stabilize from addiction, learn coping strategies and connect to a long-term recovery community. We use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in conjunction with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Features include: Pet, Art, Recreational Therapy and Yoga.

Salt Lake Behavioral Health Hospital (SLBH) is a free standing 118-bed acute hospital owned by Universal Health Services, one of the largest psychiatric and healthcare providers in the world. The hospital offers a number of specialty service lines including addiction medicine, general adult, psychiatric intensive care and military trauma units for men and women. The hospital also maintains a successful intensive outpatient program for dual diagnosis, trauma and addiction medicine.
